Copper Green Cuban Tree Frog – (Osteopilus septentrionalis)

With a length of 2 to 5.5 inches (5 to 12.7 cm), Cuban tree frogs are the biggest tree frogs in North America.  The coloration of Cuban tree frogs is primarily gray, brown, or green, with the younger frogs being more green than the adults. These frogs have blotchy or mottled skin that is rough and warty.  In order to blend in with their surroundings, Cuban tree frogs can alter their color and pattern.  These frogs’ brilliant yellow inner thighs help to confuse predators when they jump and show off their hue. In their arboreal life, the adhesive pads on their toes are helpful.
