The canyon tree frog (Dryophytes arenicolor) is a species of tree frog native to the rocky plateau areas of southern United States, primarily in New Mexico and Arizona.
Canyon tree frogs are usually brown, grey-brown, or grey-green in appearance, with darker-colored blotching, and they reach a maximum length of 5.0 to 5.5 cm (2.0 to 2.2 in). Although they might differ greatly, they often conceal by matching the color of the rock or soil in their natural habitats. They are lighter in color in limestone settings, and they can even be pink in areas that are primarily granite-dominated. The majority have faded banding on their legs and vivid yellow in their groin areas.
