Amazon milk frogs are a huge species of tree frog that lives in the Amazon jungle of South America. They grow to around 6-10cm (2.5-4″), with females being larger, and have light grey-blue bodies with distinctive dark grey-black markings and yellow eyes.
Amazon milk frogs are an arboreal species named after the sticky white material they produce when threatened by predators. This species is highly gregarious, with individuals conversing through vocalizations that are most commonly heard during their crepuscular active hours – at dawn and dusk.
